The Countess has a guaranteed chance to always drop a High Rune and can even drop more than one. It's also possible to 'ebug' a piece of Ethereal Armor that you find which will increase the Defense bonuses by 50%, check out my Ebugging Guide for more information.įarming High Runes: Out of all locations in the game one stands above the rest for farming specifically High Runes, the Countess during Act 1. If you find a 'Superior' piece of armor with +Enhanced Defense, a Superior Weapon with +Enhanced Damage or a Helm/Weapon that has +Skill bonuses for a certain class, all of these will remain on the final Rune Word that is created.

Keep in mind that all Rune Words you create will retain any pre-existing bonuses found on the item. If you Socket Harmony into an Amazon Bow that comes with + Bow and Crossbow Skills, it will keep its pre-existing Skill Bonuses when you create the Rune Word. You'll lose the Valkyrie and Revive bonuses from doing this, however. It also comes with a built in Vigor Aura (increased movement speed) and packs a decent enough punch with its damage bonuses and +% Enhanced Damage.Īside from using Harmony yourself, you're also able to equip it to an Act 1 Mercenary which will share the Vigor Aura with you. Harmony is a multipurpose Rune Word it's able to grant any player that uses it the Valkyrie ability and the ability to Revive enemies.
